Missions · Reaching The World For Christ

Eagles Nest Baptist Church is fully committed to seeing the Gospel spread throughout the world.   There many opportunities throughout the year get involved.  Some of these opportunities include:

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Since 1993, God has used Samaritan’s Purse to deliver over 200 million Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts to children in need and disciple 50 million of these boys and girls.

When Franklin Graham agreed to fill shoeboxes with toys and other fun items for children in war-torn Bosnia in 1993, he had no idea what the project would grow to become. Over the past 30 years, Samaritan’s Purse has collected and delivered more than 200 million Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts, thanks to a church and volunteer network in the U.S. and around the world that is hundreds of thousands strong.

In addition to bringing great joy to millions of boys and girls in need, gifts are accompanied by the Good News of Jesus Christ. Many children have been invited to follow-up discipleship through The Mailbox Club (prior to 2009) and The Greatest Journey, a 12-lesson program designed especially for shoebox recipients. We praise God that over the last three decades 50 million children have been discipled. In the past 14 years alone since The Greatest Journey was launched, over 17 million children have made decisions for Christ.

LOTTIE  MOON

What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering?

Lottie Moon was sent as a Southern Baptist missionary to China from 1873 to 1912. She saw firsthand the world's greatest problem — LOSTNESS. Meeting so many people who had never heard the gospel compelled her to write letters to American churches describing the need for a greater missionary presence.

She pleaded for increased prayer and financial support to send and sustain more missionaries. This challenge became known as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering®.

MCGUIRE STATE MISSION

For the last several years, our Maguire State Mission Offering has emphasized mission opportunities on the International mission field present in South Florida. The 2019 Maguire State Mission Offering provides valuable support for church planting across Florida. Florida Baptists have entered into an exciting partnership with the North American Mission Board expanding our unified church planting efforts in Florida. We celebrate the newly established SEND Network Florida. Through SEND Network Florida, we are sending 100% of the State Mission offering to church planting, revitalization and church replanting efforts across the state of Florida.

ANNIE ARMSTRONG

One of the biggest ways we can impact North America with the Gospel is by giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. 100% of gifts given through this offering go straight to the mission field where more than 5,000 missionaries are currently serving.

MISSION DIGNITY

Mission:Dignity is a ministry of GuideStone Financial Resources  which provides financial assistance to retired Southern Baptist Ministers, workers and their widows who have faithfully served God's people and now find themselves struggling to meet basic needs.
