Our church is currently seeking a new spiritual leader to guide our congregation, and we have guest preachers speaking each week for our services. We are officially accepting resumes for a possible Interim Pastor. We welcome applications from qualified individuals. Terry is a native of the state of Michigan. He retired from General Motors in 2007 after 33 years. A year after retirement he and Sherry moved to her home state. They so enjoyed living in the foothills of East Tennessee nestled between the Blueridge and Smoky Mountains. Beautiful mountains and hills were always within view as they traveled around town to do  errands, seek entertainment, take time to relax on the lake or go for a fun hike. Life was special there and they both feel truly blessed to have lived surrounded by God's creation of such majestic beauty. 

While living there, Terry and his wife Sherry were co-directors of their Church's food pantry and Christian outreach center, church van driver and taught in children and youth ministry. In 2022 they decided to move to the Sunny state of Florida due to a need for better medical care for Sherry who suffered a spinal cord injury in 2019 and of course the warmer weather was calling them. They soon concluded that The Lord Jesus Christ was also calling them to make this move. They both have been serving God in multiple ways at Eagles Nest Baptist Church since joining as a member  July 10, 2022. Terry loves the Lord; he loves his church family at Eagles Nest and welcomes everyone to reach out to him at any time.

Darrell and his wife Wanda are two of the longest members of Eagles Nest Baptist Church. Darrell has served as a deacon, trustee and as chairman of the deacons for many years before retiring as chairman. However, he still serves as an active deacon and is invaluable due to his Christian wisdom and love for our Lord Jesus.

Sherry moved to Florida from the beautiful mountains of Northeast Tennessee. She and Terry have worked together prior to moving to Florida as co-directors of a food pantry and community outreach, church van drivers and teaching in children and youth ministries. Sherry served for many years leading a lady's bible study and taught Sunday school for children, adult ladies as well as worked in children church and youth ministries

Sherry is thankful for the opportunity to serve Eagles Nest Baptist Church as the church clerk, Missions Coordinator, manager of church website, Facebook page as well as working with the audio/visual team during Sunday services. She loves to talk to others about Jesus Christ and looks forward to getting to know everyone and invites you to reach out to her.
