Have you ever needed to make important decisions in your life, and wonder, "Am I considering what God thinks of my decisions? Take a look at these 8 principles that is a tremendous guideline to consider in making decisions. They will lead you to Biblical Integrity.
1. SCRIPTURAL TEST
Ask yourself “Has God already spoken about it in His Word?”
2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, (Core Biblical Beliefs) for reproof, (Showing us what is wrong about our beliefs) for correction, (Correcting our Beliefs) for instruction in righteousness." (Giving correct direction to do the right thing.)
2. SECRECY TEST
Ask yourself, “Would it bother me if everyone knew this was my choice?”0/
Proverbs 11:3 "The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors (Destructive decision of the person committing the wrong) shall destroy them."
3. SURVEY TEST
Ask yourself “What if everyone followed my example?”
1 Timothy 4:12 "Let no man despise (Give no reason to look down on) thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, (Love) in spirit, in faith, in purity."
4. SPIRITUAL TEST
Ask yourself “Am I being people pressured or Spirit led?”
Gal 1:10 "For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."
5. STUMBLING TEST
Ask yourself “Could this cause another person to stumble?”
Rom 14:21 "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, (Insert any subject matter you want for eating and drinking) nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak."
6. SERENITY TEST
Ask yourself “Have I prayed and received peace about this decision?”
Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful (Worried) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication (Prayer Requests) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
7. SANCTIFICATION TEST
Ask yourself “Will this keep me from growing in the character of Christ?”
2nd Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with open face (No covering in front of the LORD) beholding (Looking) as in a glass the glory (Beauty, Worth, Value) of the Lord, are changed into the same image(The image and holiness of Jesus Christ) from glory to glory, (from one spot to another) even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
8. SUPREME TEST
Ask yourself “Does this glorify God?”
1st Corinthians 10:31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
