Proverbs 9:1-18 paints a vivid picture of two invitations: one from Wisdom and one from Folly. Wisdom’s invitation is like a feast—a table set with everything you need to thrive. Folly’s invitation, on the other hand, might look tempting, but it leads to emptiness and regret. God’s loving voice calls you to choose the feast of wisdom, to step into His truth and live a life filled with meaning and purpose.

True wisdom starts with knowing God. It’s not just about facts or smart decisions; it’s about living in awe of His greatness and trusting in His love. Through Jesus, we see the ultimate expression of God’s wisdom. He invites us to walk in relationship with Him, to feast on His Word, and to live lives that reflect His grace and truth.

God’s voice of love calls you to this table every day. He’s not asking for perfection; He’s asking for presence. When you make time to sit with Him, to listen to His Word, and to apply His wisdom, you’re choosing the better invitation—the one that fills your heart and fuels your purpose.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for inviting me to the table of Your wisdom and love. Teach me to live in awe of You and to walk in the knowledge of who You are. Thank You for Jesus, who shows me the way to true wisdom and understanding. Help me to tune my heart to Your voice and to feast daily on Your truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Here’s How to Apply It To Our Lives:

  1. Accept the Invitation – Spend time reading Proverbs 9:1-18 and reflect on the difference between Wisdom and Folly. Choose to embrace God’s truth in your daily decisions.

  1. Feast on His Word – Set aside intentional time to dive into Scripture this week. Let God’s wisdom nourish your soul.

  1. Live it Out – Think of one area in your life where you need wisdom. Pray and ask God for guidance, then take a step of faith, trusting His direction.

  1. God’s wisdom is a feast, not a snack. He’s calling you to dive deep and let His truth satisfy every longing in your heart. So girl, open your Bible and accept the invitation to live a life overflowing with His love and purpose!
