Not one of us are perfect by any stretch and we all have made mistakes in our life, taking the wrong path and it never ends well when we do that. Life experiences teach us that we must evaluate our thoughts and actions to be careful that they’re anchored to God’s word at all times. If we feel God is telling us something we must put it up against His Word, The Bible. Remember that God’s Voice to us will never contradict His written Word. When we believe God is speaking to our heart, if we view something as being from God, we must test it against His Word.

We must check to see what the Bible tells us about the subject matter. If God has condemned it then it will never be His choice for our life. If God made it an abomination then He would never place us in that. If God calls it a sin then He would never send the sin into our life. We have to be careful to not be fooled. We may face these things in our life but we must not confuse things of the world with things of God. We must pray constantly for God to give us clarity and wisdom to know the difference.

We must read His Word daily and arm ourselves with a deep understanding and knowledge from God and of His way for us to follow. One place to turn is to check the wisdom of what we are feeling against James 3:17-18. Does it appear to be from God? Or does it go more in line with James 3:15-16? The Bible is clear where that wisdom comes from. As a Christian we know that the best way to live our life is to walk close to the Lord and use His word as instruction and praying for His wisdom and guidance and that will serve us far better than our way ever has or ever will.
