Scripture Reading: Psalm 125 (ESV)

Reflection:
In a world that feels increasingly unstable, where jobs, health, and circumstances can change in an instant, we long for security. Psalm 125, a Song of Ascents sung by pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem, offers a profound promise of stability. It tells us that those who trust in the Lord are not just "safe"; they are like Mount Zion: immovable, secure, and abiding forever.

The psalmist uses the geography of Jerusalem to illustrate this promise. Jerusalem is surrounded by hills and mountains, making it naturally fortified. Similarly, the Lord surrounds His people with His presence, protection, and love, both now and forevermore.
